FHE

I found this blog the other day. I was looking for a lesson for FHE on Love at Home and found this. It was quick and easy for my children. And kept there attention. It is for families with children 0-5 years old. Nothing fancy, just easy, I even made the dessert and my family loved it (including my picky husband). I am going to use it again next week, lets hope this one is easy too.

Here is the recipe, this was quick and easy too and Drew loved helping me make it.

Blueberry Buckle Recipe

2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
¾ cup sugar
¼ cup butter
1 egg
½ cup milk
2 cups blueberries
½ cup sugar
1/3 cup all purpose flour
½ tsp. ground cinnamon
¼ cup butter

Preheat oven to 350ยบ. Grease 9x9x2 inch baking pan; set aside.

Stir together 2 cups flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. In a medium bowl, combine ¾ cup sugar and ¼ cup butter. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until combined. Add egg; beat until fluffy. Alternately add flour mixture and milk to egg mixture, beating on low speed after each addition just until combined (batter will be slightly thick). Gently fold in blueberries. Spread batter in prepared pan.

For topping: In a small bowl combine- ½ cup sugar, 1/3 cup flour, and cinnamon. Cut in ¼ cup butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle topping over batter; sprinkle with additional sugar.

Bake for 40-45 minutes or until topping is golden and toothpick inserted in center come out clean. Serve warm. If desired, serve with whipped cream.

Hi! We got your website from the Globe Reunion Page. I love your site.

I will definately make this for Curt, this is his favorite dessert and we need a good recipe!

I will have to order a vinyl sign from you sometime soon, we have just redecorated/remodeled our home and need something to add a little oompf!

Yes, we are planning on going to the reunion!
We do live here in the valley in the same place we've been for 10 years (hence, the need for a remodel). We are on the Tempe/Mesa border.
